It’s a whole different experience to see the lagoon and Venice from the sea. We rented Tommaso’s bragozzo (traditional Venetian boat), and spent an entire Saturday cruising through the canals and marshlands of the northern lagoon: Torcello, Burano, Mazzorbo, and San Francesco del Deserto feel completely different from the water. Plus, Tommaso, being a true Venetian, knows how to entertain and share interesting stories about the lagoon. Highly recommended.
On September 24, 2020, I gifted my partner a boat trip through the lagoon. I had asked for an unusual tour, something different from the typical lagoon destinations. Tommaso, our guide, took us to spectacular, unique, and unfamiliar places, sharing stories and legends about each one. It was a day we’ll always remember. Many compliments to Tommaso—an insightful, intelligent, and discreet guide. Highly recommended for everyone, not just tourists, because the Venetian Lagoon truly holds an endless array of still little-known wonders.
It was an incredible sunset cruise on a beautiful traditional Venetian boat, exploring the less-frequented parts of the lagoon. It was especially lovely to see the international pavilions used in the Biennale exhibitions from the water. Our guide was wonderful—knowledgeable and charismatic. The trip also included plenty of Prosecco. Overall, a fantastic cruise—highly recommended for anyone visiting Venice as a must-do.
We had a great experience with Leonardo as our guide during the boat tour—even though it rained for most of it. Luckily, we live in Seattle and the worst weather on a boat is no problem for us. The Prosecco helped keep the blood flowing 😜.
